Final Fantasy 7 gets a lot of credit for being the biggest rpg on the PS1... or of all time, I guess, but for my money, FF8 is just as groundbreaking, if not moreso.

Its got one of the most interesting level systems in any RPG, and rewards you IMMENSELY for playing the in-game card collector with actual combat enhancements. If you are a JRPG liker and haven't given Final Fantasy 8 a shot, you're definitely missing out. ~Penny (April 2026)
